Our Introduction to Sprint Competition for ages 8-13 (as of January 1st, 2025) is a 2-week program designed to introduce new paddlers to the world of sprint canoe/kayak without the commitment to a full summer season.
In addition to the two-week program, participants will have the option to extend their registration into full summer programming by paying the balance to our youth sprint summer fee. Intro to Sprint Competition also includes the opportunity for participants to try out competition at a local regatta (Gananoque on July 12, or Carleton Place on July 19), where they can put newly acquired skills to the test against other aspiring sprint athletes.
Whether young athletes are looking to excel in a new sport or are simply looking to compliment their strength and fitness for another sport, this program is the perfect way to challenge them and open doors to new opportunities in athletics.
AGES: 8-13 as of January 1st, 2025
PROGRAM COST: $535 for full-day programming
PROGRAM DURATION: June 30th - July 11th, 2025
PROGRAM HOURS/SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday from 9:00AM - 3:30PM
PLEASE NOTE - Your registration is only complete once you submit payment in full and complete our waiver & code of conduct, and concussion code of conduct (must be completed for each registered participant). Payment can be made online upon registration (credit card payments are subject to A 3% transaction fee) or via email transfer to finance@cpcanoeclub.com).
