The U14 Academy Program is an invitation-only program for second-year U14 athletes (athletes born 2012 or earlier) who have shown strong commitment and potential within the sprint canoe/kayak high-performance pathway.
Running from early May to the end of October, this 6-month program bridges the gap between U14 racing and the increased training demands of U16 and beyond, with a focus on long-term athlete development.
Athletes will remain age-appropriate in competition while gradually training at a higher standard, including 4–6 sessions per week during the summer alongside the U16 group, while maintaining U14-specific expectations.
This program is designed for motivated athletes who are ready to take on increased responsibility, training volume, and personal growth, with strong family support.
Participation in the U14 Sprint Academy reflects an athlete’s intention to continue along the high-performance pathway, including transitioning into structured winter training following the program.

PROGRAM DATES: April 27th - October 31st, 2026COST: $1,710SPRINT REGISTRATION INCLUDES: Membership, insurance fees, affiliation fees (divisional, provincial, and national), program and coaching fees. Registration does NOT include regatta entry or travel fees.
PLEASE NOTE - Your registration is only complete once you submit payment in full and complete our waiver & code of conduct, and concussion code of conduct (must be completed for each registered participant). Payment can be made online upon registration (credit card payments are subject to A 3% transaction fee) or via email transfer to finance@cpcanoeclub.com).
