Our Adult Strength & Conditioning program provides a well-rounded approach to strength, fitness, and general physical conditioning in a fun, social, and knowledgeable training environment.

Designed for adults of varying fitness levels, sessions combine structured strength training in the CPCC weight room, functional strength circuits, and technical canoe/kayak ergometer training.

Whether you're looking to improve your paddling performance, maintain your fitness throughout the winter, or simply enjoy staying active alongside other club members, this program offers a supportive environment to work toward your goals.

Participants are also welcome to join optional swimming and XC skiing opportunities throughout the season.

  • Program Fee: $360 for the full season (2 sessions per week), or $120 for a 10-session pass

  • Target Participants: Adults interested in improving strength, fitness, and overall physical conditioning in a social and supportive environment.

  • Commitment: Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30–7:00 PM.

  • Optional Training: Tuesday morning swimming and XC skiing opportunities.

  • Program Dates: November 16, 2026 – May 1, 2027

Please Note the Following:

Swimming – The CPCC will rent the Carleton Place Pool for training sessions between November and March. Tuesday morning sessions are available to adult participants interested in additional cardiovascular training. No competitive swimming experience is required, and the environment is supportive and low-pressure.

XC Skiing – Cross-country skiing provides an excellent opportunity to develop cardiovascular endurance, general fitness, and enjoy outdoor training throughout the winter months. Adult participants are welcome to join appropriate group sessions. Equipment and trail passes are the responsibility of participants where applicable. CPCC coaches can assist with equipment recommendations.

Additional Training Opportunities – Adult participants interested in joining swimming or XC skiing sessions are encouraged to contact Head Coach Pat for more information about scheduling and appropriate training opportunities.

Holiday Closures: The club will be closed December 22 – January 4 and March 14–21.
