Our U10 Sprint Racing program for ages 8-9 (as of January 1st, 2023) is a full summer program designed around Canoe Kayak Canada’s FUNdamentals and Foundations stage of the Long Term Athlete Development plan. Athletes will work with our friendly, experienced, and NCCP certified coaches to learn about water safety, introductory sprint canoe and kayak technique, and physical literacy through games and practices on AND off the water.
All of our staff are certified by the National Coach Certification Program and are passionate about teaching our young members about the importance of water safety in a fun and knowledgeable environment. We also focus on building a strong base for athlete development with an emphasis on technical understanding and an appreciation for the sport.
PROGRAM DATES: July 4th-August 25th, 2023
COST: $1,190
PROGRAM SCHEDULE: MONDAY-FRIDAY from 9:00AM - 3:30PM (pre/post care is available from 8:00am - 5:00pm for an additional $40/week, or $225 for the full summer)
AGES: 8-9 years old (as of Jan. 1st, 2023)
SPRINT REGISTRATION INCLUDES: Membership, insurance fees, affiliation fees (divisional, provincial, and national), program and coaching fees. Registration does NOT include regatta entry or travel fees. See policies for more information.
PLEASE NOTE - Your registration is only complete once you submit payment in full (prior to your program start date) - payments can be made online upon registration or via email transfer to finance@cpcanoeclub.com and submit a signed waiver & code of conduct, and concussion code of conduct (for each registered participant).
